CATL upholds the concept of green development, integrating carbon reduction across the entire industry chain. The company has established a top-down and inside-out approach to carbon reduction governance and announced the most ambitious carbon neutrality goals in the global lithium battery industry: achieving carbon neutrality in core operations by 2025 and across the entire value chain by 2035.

- CATL has achieved carbon neutrality for greenhouse gas emissions across its nine battery production bases for 2023 and obtained PAS 2060:2014 Carbon Neutrality Certification from an authoritative third-party certification body.
- Formulated the Sustainable Development Agreement, requiring all suppliers of cathode and anode materials, the top three suppliers of major aluminum product categories, to meet corresponding targets in areas such as CFP, the proportion of renewable energy use, green aluminum usage, and recycled materials.
- Launched its Zero-Carbon Strategy, committing to carbon neutrality in core operations by 2025 and value chain carbon neutrality by 2035.
- Incorporated ESG-related indicators, such as green and low-carbon practices and social responsibility, into supplier performance evaluation with additional points for metrics including carbon reduction percentage, renewable energy usage proportion, green aluminum utilization, recycled material ratio, and responsible management of critical minerals.

- Implemented comprehensive carbon management, advancing over 400 energy-saving projects throughout the year, resulting in a cumulative reduction of 447,230 tons of carbon emissions. The proportion of green electricity usage increased to 26.60%, and greenhouse gas emissions per unit of product decreased by 24.89%.
- The Yibin Production Base obtained PAS 2060 Carbon Neutrality Certification.
- Times Geely (Sichuan) Power Battery Co., Ltd., a subsidiary, also received PAS 2060 Carbon Neutrality Certification.
